Former Byrd Roger McGuinn Endorses BIGROCK INNOVATIONS LLC. F-1 Guitar Picks and X-1 Guitar Pick Grips
“I love the F-1 Pick and X-1 attachment which I use on a Herco Flex 50 pick that we all used in the Byrds. After a wrist fracture and subsequent surgery I had a temporary numbness in my thumb and index finger. The X-1 gave me the confidence that I had the pick under control and has increased my right hand accuracy. Thanks for making such a great product.
Sincerely – Roger McGuinn

TUNING THE F-1® GUITAR PICK
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Push D-1 Damper (A) completely into Acoustic Amplification Chamber (B).
2. Play guitar and listen to sound of pick.
3. To amplify pick sound, push the end (C) deeper into the chamber.
4. When you find the sound you like, trim the D-1 tail (D).
More Info:
The D-1 Damper allows you to adjust the amount of percussive pick sound. The F-1 without the D-1 has a distinct and noticeable click. We at first thought that it was due to the folded over nature of the design , and
that the grip and the flat surface were contacting each other and some how causing the sound. However , even if the pick was glued together, it would still make the same amount of click. We finally discovered that the source of the sound was the tubular cavity of the fold over, acting as an acoustic amplifier. The D-1 Damper when fully inserted into the cavity, totally eliminates the click. You can now tune the amount of click that you like, by inserting the damper, and experimenting with the amount of Damping that you like. Simply push the damper into the cavity and you will see how it affects the sound. When you have the sound you like, clip off the end of the D-1 , that is protruding from the back end of the cavity. You can set up a few picks with different amounts of click, for different sounds.
